Melissinos Rosé was the first organic wine produced in Crete by Domaine Paterianakis, and it marks our first wine since 1996. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately using the Saignée method. Melissinos Rosé has become a bestseller in our portfolio, thanks to its exceptional quality and longstanding recognition. A stylish and refreshing rosé, it continues to captivate wine lovers year after year.

A complex nose with red fruit aromas and notes of spices.

VINIFICATION

Saignée Method Rosé. The process begins with careful grape selection and destemming, followed by the gravity-fed transfer of the grapes—without mechanical means—into stainless steel tanks for skin contact. The Kotsifali undergoes skin contact for 24 to 48 hours, while the Syrah is left in contact for 6 to 10 hours. The wines are then blended and undergo spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is aged briefly on fine lees. The vinification process is mild and natural, and the wine is left unfiltered.

COLOUR

Bright salmon color with rose hues.

PALATE

Velvet full bodied wine, vividly refreshing and rounded, with a dominant caramel flavor.
