Melissinos Rosé was the first organic wine produced in Crete by the Paterianakis Estate and has been our flagship wine since 1996.
Each grape variety is harvested and vinified separately, using the Saignée method. Melissinos Rosé has become one of our winery’s most successful wines, thanks to its exceptional quality and long-standing reputation. An elegant and refreshing rosé that continues to enchant wine lovers year after year.

Great with
White meats with sauces, Cretan pies, pasta with seafood, soft cheeses, and cold cuts. It also pairs exceptionally well with dishes from Eastern cuisine.
AROMA
A complex aromatic profile with notes of red fruits and spices.
VINIFICATION
The must is vinified using the Saignée Rosé method.
The process begins with the careful selection and destemming of the grapes, followed by gravity-fed transfer (without mechanical intervention) to stainless steel tanks for contact with the skins: Kotsifali remains in contact for 24 to 48 hours, while Syrah remains in contact for 6 to 10 hours.
The musts are then blended and undergo natural alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine undergoes a brief aging period on the fine lees.
Winemaking is carried out using gentle, natural processes, and the wine remains unfiltered.
COLOUR
A bright salmon color with rose-colored highlights.
PALATE
Velvety, full-bodied, refreshingly lively, and well-rounded, with a dominant caramel flavor.
