An innovative blend from Crete that combines two grape varieties: the indigenous Thrapsathiri and the famous French Sauvignon Blanc.<\/p>

The Thrapsathiri variety is one of Crete\u2019s most important indigenous varieties, often mistakenly considered a relative of Athiri. It is characterized by intense aromas, high acidity, and low alcohol content.<\/p>

Melissinos White is an exotic wine produced from our mountainous, organically cultivated vineyards. The vineyards benefit from the cool northeasterly winds, creating ideal conditions for the production of fine wines. Melissinos White brings together the two \u201cextremes\u201d of the Cretan harvest: the first and last grape varieties to be harvested.<\/p>

Sauvignon Blanc is the first variety to be harvested, usually in early August, while Thrapsathiri is the last, in late September.<\/p>

Sauvignon Blanc: The grapes undergo cold maceration for a few hours at low temperatures, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18\u00b0C.<\/p>

Thrapsathiri: 20% of the grapes undergo cold maceration for a few hours and are fermented in stainless steel tanks at 18\u00b0C.<\/p>
